Breast Oncoplasty

The goal of oncoplastic procedures is to remove the breast cancer with negative histologic margins while preserving the contour of the breast

First, the cancer affected area is removed after which additional operations is done to correct any deformities caused by the cancer surgery. That may involve surgery on both breasts to make them look as similar as possible.

Oncoplastic surgery merges the principles of oncologic and reconstructive surgery, utilizing a spectrum of aesthetic-enhancing techniques to address tissue defects and optimize cosmesis from breast cancer surgery.
